Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will leverage Webcom’s systems to extract and analyze data to deliver products to a diverse customer base within the organization. He/she will provide analysis and recommendations on this data to assist the organization to make better decisions for managing our products, programs, and services. He/she works collaboratively with production and sales to ensure that corporate directives are adequately understood through the use of analysis. He/she assists in the budgeting process by working with department managers to model various scenarios. He/she will deliver existing scheduled reporting and recommend new metric reporting for departments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma and/or degree preferably in Business or Computer Science
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data to identify trends and present meaningful conclusions
  • Expert user in MS Excel
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written & presentation)
  • Strong people skills – able to deal with all levels of employees
  • Experience using SQL for analytics and reporting is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from production and sales data collection systems to help with the development of departmental budgets, improvement plans, and new product or program offerings.
  • Identifies the important information and trends in the analysis and highlights it for internal departments or external customers.
  • Generates weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports for a variety of end-users (including both internal and external customers) to facilitate improved decision making across the organization.
  • Collaborates with operations and finance teams to ensure that all aspects of expense for production operations are captured within the budget and can be accurately reported.
  • Collaborates with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that quoting volumes, win/loss ratios, customer trend  analysis, order processing costs, etc. are understood and actionable.
  • Understand administration, finance, sales, and production operations current process steps, systems, equipment, and techniques.
  • Develops Return on Investment analysis for various capital investments and projects.
  • Maintains quality service by following Webcom’s standards or generates requests for change when process improvements are identified.
  • Contributes to team effort by ensuring various project groups remain on task and provided assistance as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
