Accounting Clerk

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year of accurate data entry experience
  • Able to identify unusual entries or discrepancies and resolve independently
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
  • College diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in accounting
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Maintains high standards of quality despite pressing deadlines
  • The ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team
  • The ability to keep functioning effectively when under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of manufacturing databases including ERP system and MS Office products, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare customer invoices in Navision for all print jobs
  • Ensure quantities and pricing in Navision match information supplied in the job dockets and follow up with Project Managers and/or Sales department to resolve any discrepancies
  • Properly apply sales predefined tax rules
  • Monitor job ship list on a daily basis and follow up for any jobs with unsubmitted dockets to ensure all jobs are invoiced as soon as possible after shipment
  • Process requests for credit notes against customer accounts while ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained
  • Prepare invoices for a division and a fulfilment service within each of their respective systems and subsequently transfer the invoices to Navision for financial reporting and customer account management purposes
  • Respond to requests for invoice copies or backup documentation
  • Support accounting team with bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts reconciliations, etc.
  • Assist with Intercompany AR balance reconciliation prior to month end close
  • Miscellaneous reporting (Excel) and other tasks as directed
