This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate interested in building his/her career and working as part of a divisional team. This role will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of up to date balance sheet account reconciliations and costing data collection and posting. They will also assist with reporting and should have strong PC skills and experience using an ERP system.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of similar accounting experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturing experience, particularly in the print industry
  • University degree in Accounting or related field of study
  • Working towards designation or hold CPA designation
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and all MS Office products, including: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excel skills at intermediate or higher level
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills and be comfortable dealing with all levels of an organization which includes production workers, managers and executives
  • Able to work independently, solve problems, and use sound judgment
  • Able to analyze variances and follow up to either fix errors or explain differences
  • Driven to achieve success both individually and as part of a team
  • Plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions
  • Responds to situations as they arise with minimal supervision
  • Makes sound decisions; uses logic to reach solutions
  • Maintains high standards of quality despite pressing deadlines
  • Personally responsible; completes work in a timely, consistent manner
  • Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before the situation requires it

Key Responsibilities:

  • General ledger entries, reconciliations and analysis
  • Daily bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasts
  • Supports transfer price reporting and analysis as required
  • Monthly financial package
  • Monthly sales tax remittances report and other monthly reports
  • Intercompany balances reconciliation
  • Ensure costing data are correctly collected and posted on a daily base
  • Ensure raw materials inventory accounts are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts and year ends
  • Assist on special projects/tasks as required
  • Other duties as assigned
