CREATING POSTSCRIPT FILES - Applications
CREATING POSTSCRIPT FILES FROM QUARKXPRESS 4.0 FOR PC

Step 1
- Open the Print dialog box. For Printer, select a high-end imagesetter driver such as Agfa Proset. (See the preceding pages for driver installation and configuration.)
Step 2
- On the Document tab, select Include Blank Pages.
- Turn Registration to Centered.
- Change the Offset to 30 pt.
- Set bleed to .25”
- All other options should be off (See Figure 1).
Step 3
- On the Setup tab, for Printer Description select Prinergy Refiner. (A link to the Prinergy Printer Description file is available directly from www.prinergy.com. A direct link to the Prinergy side is also available through our web site).
- The Paper Width should be 1" wider than the width of your document.
Step 4
- On the Output tab, set Print Colors to Composite CMYK.
- Set the resolution to 2400 dpi.
- Set the frequency to 120 lpi (see Figure 3).
Step 5
- Select the Options tab.
- For Pictures, set Output to Normal.
- Set Data to ASCII.
- Set OPI to Include Images.
- Select Full Resolution TIFF Output (see Figure 4).
Step 6
- Select the Properties for the driver and ensure that under the PostScript tab, the PostScript format has been set to optimize for portability - ADSC.
- Make the final PostScript file. It will prompt you for a file name and a location to save the file.
