CREATING POSTSCRIPT FILES FROM QUARKXPRESS 3.32 FOR PC

Step 1

1. Go to the Edit menu, down to Preferences and over to Application.
2. The very bottom right setting is for the Register Mark Offset. The default value is 6 pt. Change this to 30 pt. (see Figure 1).

Step 2

1. Go to the File menu and down to Print (or use the keyboard shortcut Control-P). This will bring up this menu.
2. Turn Registration to Centered.
3. Make sure that Tiling is off.
4. Include blank pages (see Figure 2).

Step 3

1. Click on the Setup button - it will bring you to this menu (see Figure 3).
2. Under Specific Printer select the Linotronic 330.
3. For "Use PDF For" select Acrobat Distiller.
4. Set the Halftone Frequency to 120 lpi.
5. Set the Resolution to 2400 dpi.
6. For Paper Width, add 1" to your document size.

Step 4
Enter a path and a name for the PostScript file when prompted.
