Delivering innovative print and new media solutions

Webcom's Educational Publishing Division does a better job for our customers because we focus exclusively on the special needs of the ELHI and College markets. We recognize that Educational Publishers are challenged today as they never have been before.

  • We understand your business
  • We speak your language
  • We understand the unique challenges you face:
    • Demands for ever tighter turnarounds on production to maintain JIT inventories
    • Emergence of electronic products
    • Dramatic changes in book manufacturing technology
    • High costs associated with inventory and returns

Our team will keep tight control of your project from start to finish. We are able to provide innovative, effective solutions to our customers' challenges by creatively applying the knowledge gained from more than 25 years of book production experience.

Service Commitment

We take responsibility for the entire job from the earliest planning stages through to fulfillment and worldwide distribution. Our state-of-the-art plant was purpose-designed for book manufacturing. Every service needed to complete the job is under our roof. Among them are the advanced technologies that will give you an edge in educational publications - FTP file transmission; all-digital Computer-to-Plate prepress; new, specialized 7" x 9" book presses; and lay-flat Otabind binding for books.

We are able to go the extra mile in helping get your products to market by providing specialized services including media replication, pick and pack fulfilment and preparing html summaries of project materials for promotion on your web site.

Experience

With over 60 years of combined experience in Educational Publishing and book manufacturing, our team is dedicated to producing softcover texts, workbooks, teachers' guides, and supplementary readers and keeping tight control of every project. We make it our business to understand your requirements, and meet them. Our experience can be measured in thousands of titles and millions of books produced for leading Educational Publishers across North America. Our business is built on satisfied customers.

The All-Digital Advantage

Webcom was among the very first North American printers to offer Educational Publishers the benefits of all-digital prepress. Our recent investments keep us on the cutting edge - and give our customers even greater value.

  • Your files can be sent to our password-protected FTP site from anywhere in the world.
  • Our filmless Computer-to-Plate system cuts costs and turnaround time while improving quality.
  • Digital color proofs assure that your covers will be printed exactly as you expect without the cost of film.
  • Projects can be sent to offset or digital presses seamlessly depending on the quantity of books needed.
  • All projects are digitally archived for fast and economical updates and reprints.
