CREATING POSTSCRIPT FILES

FROM QUARKXPRESS 4.0 FOR PC

A PostScript driver must be installed and configured as per our guidelines. See the section on how to install and configure a PostScript Driver.

Step 1

  1. Select Print from the File Menu.
  2. From the list of Printers select the Agfa Proset.

  1. On the Document tab, select Include Blank Pages.
  2. Change Registration to Centered.
  3. Change to Offset to 24 pts.
  4. Set Bleed to 3/16”
  5. De-select all other options.

Step 3

  1. On the Setup tab, for Printer Description select Prinergy Refiner* or Acrobat Distiller if available.
  2. Set Paper Width to 1” wider than the width of your document.

Step 4

  1. On the Output tab, set Print Colours to Composite CMYK.
  2. Set the Resolution to 2400 DPI.
  3. Set the Frequency to 120 LPI.

Step 5

  1. Select the Options tab.
  2. For Pictures, set Output to Normal.
  3. Set Data to ASCII.
  4. Set OPI to Include Images.
  5. Select Full Resolution TIFF Output.

Step 6

  1. Click Print.
  2. Give the file a name and select a location to save to.
