CREATING POSTSCRIPT FILES

A PostScript driver must beinstalled and configured as per our guidelines. Please see the PostScript Driver Settings section for information on how to install and configure a PostScript Driver.

Step 1

  1. From the File Menu select Print Setup.
  2. Select the PostScript Driver previously configured.
  3. For Paper Size, select a size that will accommodate the document and crop marks. A custom Paper size can be created in the Properties of the Printer.
  4. Select Portrait.
  5. Click OK.

Step 2

  1. From the File Menu select Print.
  2. Select All Pages or a Start and End page.
  3. Select Odd­Numbered and Even­Numbered Pages.
  4. Clear the other options.
  5. Select Western for Registration Marks if the document does not contain elements that bleed. Select None if the document contains bleeds.
  6. Do not select Print to File, rather let the Windows driver generate the PostScript.
  7. De-select Generate Acrobat Data.
  8. Click Print, give the file a name and select a location to save the file to.
