News Release J. J. Hammond Company Selects Webcom for Digital Content Management FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. July, 2004 – J. J. Hammond Company has selected Webcom Limited to produce its 2004 print and online catalogs using Digital Content Management (DCM). Webcom was selected because its products and services support J. J. Hammond Company’s marketing initiatives to gain market visibility. Originally, the catalog was produced by cut-and-paste techniques which were so time-consuming that updates were rarely carried out. Webcom has digitized the entire content, using the DCM tools which will allow full or partial updates whenever necessary. In addition, an online version of the catalog will soon be available, providing access to up-to-date material to all customers. In all, Webcom delivered DCM, catalog design, printing and finishing, and an online catalog. “The original goal of the J. J. Hammond Company was to produce a printed catalog to act as a buying reference and keep our names in the hands of construction and industrial customers we serve. We then saw the benefits of building both a print catalog and an online version with the DCM solution. Now, besides having a printed catalog that we are proud to give to our customers we will be able to produce custom flyers and other marketing communications from the DCM Content Manager," says Joseph Hammond.
